Tour to the Ancient Egyptian Pyramids
The Pyramids of Giza:
We considered Giza Plateau is one of the most enduring prehistoric monuments in the world.
It houses the three great pyramids (those of Cheops, Khafre and Menkaure) and at least six others, as well as several other important monuments, including the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple.
The Great Pyramid:
The oldest and largest of the pyramids were built by the 4th-Dynasty Khufu (2589-66BC).
It is estimated to contain over two million blocks of stone weighing on average around 2.5 tonnes, with some stones at the base weighing as much as 15 tonnes. Until the 19th century, it was the tallest building in the world.
The Great Sphinx:
Giza Sphinx carved from an outcrop of natural rock, augmented by shaped blocks around the base, added during repeated renovations from the 18th Dynasty onwards.
The Valley Temple:
Khafre’s Valley Temple stood on a quay and served as a gateway to the pyramid, connected by a long, mostly covered, causeway.
Buried in the sand, this was discovered by Auguste Mariette in 1852 and traces of it can still be seen today.
At the next stop, you will be amazed by the Egyptian Museum containing thousands of genuine artefacts, Statues and a priceless collection of Egyptian art. The most incredible being the full exhibit of King Tutankhamun, including the gold treasures found in his tomb in 1920.
Old Coptic Cairo
The Hanging Church
The hanging church is referred to as the Suspended Church and it got its name as “The Hanging Church” since it was established on the southern gate of the Roman Fortress. This is with no doubt a very unique church in Old Cairo and what is impressive about it is the roof which is in the shape of the ark of Noah. It has been the residence of the Coptic Patriarch from the 7th up to the 13 centuries.
Ben Ezra Synagogue
Ben Ezra synagogue dates back to the 9th century and it occupied the 4th century Christian Church’s shell. It is considered the site where prophet Jeremiah collected all of the Jews together after the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple was destroyed in the 6th century by Nebuchadnezzar. Abraham Ben Ezra restored in the 12th century and since then, it has become the place to know all about the secrets and mysteries of the life of the North African Jewish Community starting from the 11th century up to the thirteenth.
Abu Serga Church
Abu Serga church is believed to be built in the place which is believed to be the spot where the Holy family including Mary, Jesus Christ, and Joseph rested after finishing their journey into Egypt. That church has a great historical importance and so many patriarchs of the Coptic Church were erected there.
Lastly, you will visit Khan El Khalili, at Khan al-Khalili it is home to the coppersmiths’ market and an assortment of workshops. Further along are shops selling a miscellany of coffee-house equipment such as tin-topped tables and sheeshas, before finishing with the garlic and onion stalls near Bab al-Futuh.

we will visit the new Alexandria Library, whose design refers to the god Amon Ra and the Alexandria Lighthouse. In addition to several libraries, there is a planetarium, three museums, a laboratory and a printing press.
Abu al-Abbas mosque
We will also pass by the beautiful Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi Mosque, a marvel of architecture built between the years 1929-1945 influenced by the buildings of ancient Egypt in Cairo.
Citadel of Qaitbay
From outside we will also see the Citadel of Qaytbay which was built on the site of the ancient pharaohs ( Light House ) of Alexandria, a defensive fortress built in 1480 by Ashraf Abu Al-Nasr Saif El-Din Qaitbay, a slave who became a sultan.
Church of St. Mark
Saint Mark came to Alexandria in the year 61 AD during the reign of the Roman Nero, he was credited with establishing the first church in all of Egypt in Alexandria as he established the Alexandria Theological Seminary and is considered the first theological institute in the history of Christianity, as well as facing pagan thought and various philosophies.
Once the tour is complete you will be transferred in comfort back to your hotel.

This is believed to be the oldest city in Egypt, once inhabited by the ‘Crocodile God’.
At the first stop, you will visit Quaran Lake, an oasis in the desert. You will then follow on to the ruins of the Karanis Temple. Then you will travel by boat to see Wadi Al Rian and the other historical parts of the lake.
Once your day is complete you will be transferred in comfort back to your hotel in Cairo.
