Hundreds of camels are sold on Fridays and Sundays. Camels from Sudan pass into Egypt via Abu Simbel at the market in Daraw. Unsold camels are loaded onto trucks and taken to Birqash. They also arrive from the rest of Egypt and sometimes even from Somalia.
